I really enjoyed my conversation with Aaron Crook, candidate for city council on a conservative platform which he is not shy about despite the municipal elections not having party affiliation on ballots, something he is opposed to. Crook represents gen Z, he is 20 years old and says he has been into politics since he was 6, certainly not something I can say for my interests at that age. Aaron gives me hope for the youngin’s out there, he has his head on straight and you can tell he is sincere about wanting to make Fairbanks a great place to raise a family like it has been for all of us. Sadly, like many of us, Aaron is worried that reality may be in jeopardy. Aaronn is very informed for someone his age, most in that demographic are apathetic and if interested in politics at all, are usually very uninformed. I came away from this conversation and the one we had previously, very impressed with the young man and like what he has to say, if you come away feeling the same way you can donate and volunteer at www.aaronforfairbanks.com and follow him on facebook and instagram at aaron4fairbanks.
